Oliver was found on the street. He was probably the most neglected dog we have seen in a long time. His fur was a big mass. Overgrown, matted, dirty. It seems like he was on the street for many months but noone could catch him. And the municipal services whose obligation is to act did not bother. When finally he was caught he was brought to the shelter where he was shaved during hours.
After he was shaved he must have been so relieved as he wagged his tail and jumped around.
Oliver is a shy dog. He wants to trust but it will take time as people have let him down. He wags his tail a lot, he comes for fleeting cuddle and then he runs away. He does not walk on the leash. He does not want to be lifted or grabbed. It has to be slow and gentle with him. But he is extremely gentle and he never tried to bite. There must be a home somewhere for him… Someone loving and patient.
Oliver gets along very well with other dogs.
