Story, Personality, Others:

Vanilla was abandoned at the gate of the shelter where noone was close to the gate so noone could see. There was a small commotion, dogs barked and a car sped away. The staff of the shelter came to the gate to find a little girl in a very tight body. It was so tight that scissors had to be used to remove it, the fabric had to be cut. Underneath they discovered a huge gaping wound – poor Vanilla had a big breast tumor that simply erupted and her belly was just a big open wound. She was in pain, she suffered but she never tried to bite anyone. She is very gentle and she does not bite.

She was taken to a vet where she was operated, then soon after another operation followed to fix a hernia that appeared, then the stitches were removed and finally she has recovered. The wound has now healed and Vanilla is comfortable again. She runs, she walks, she is fine. She is friendly with other dogs. With people she is shy. Very gentle but shy. She must have suffered enough from the hands of people. But we would like her to be happy again. To be in a loving home and to be able to trust.

Vanilla walks well on the leash so there is no doubt that one day she had a home. But not a good one. We hope there is someone over there for her, someone that can give her love she never experienced.
