Poppy was surrendered to the shelter by her ex-owner who was returning to her country. She just appeared at the gate of the shelter with the cat and hearing that the shelter was full and it was difficult to receive one more, she just opened the door of crate with the intention of letting the cat out. Only that the cat was scared and did not want to go out. But the monster was going to abandon her cat anyway so there was no other solution but to accept the poor Poppy into the overcrowded cattery.
For a cat used to living in a home shelter is a stress. Poppy hid in dark corners for weeks before she finally gained confidence to go out. She is extremely gentle with people and submissive with other cats. In a home she would be blossom. She needs a loving home.
