Meike was found with her leg caught into a trap set by hunters probably for wild boars. Hunters are a plague. Poor Meike must have suffered so much. Her leg was very wounded but fortunately it healed. Now there is a scar but the wound is closed and she walks normally, it does not ache her anymore.
She did not have a chip or another identification and noone was looking for her. She was left at a municipal pound.
We got to know Meike and she is such a sweet dog. She is a bit insecure in new circumstances but she wants to trust people so once she gets to know a person, she gains confidence and follows the person like a shadow. She is very very gentle. Even when nervous, she never snaps. She is good with other dogs, in fact we can see that she feels well in a company of self confident dogs, she learns from them.
She walks on the leash which indicates she must have had a home. Probably not a loving one anyway as they are not looking for her.
