Max was surrendered to the shelter because his owner died. Her son surrendered the dog.
Max was skinny, dirty and uncared for. His ex-owner did ensure his future if anything would happen to her even if she had the dog since a puppy and should care. But what can you expect if the dog was last vaccinated 10 years ago. Of course noone cared. People like these think it is completely normal that dogs end up in the shelter. Noone told them dogs have feelings.
Max is very sweet and gentle. He is absolutely lovely with people and social with all other dogs. He walks well on the leash.
Noone adopts dogs of his age. We are very sorry for him as we know he will spend the rest of his days in the shelter.
