Story, Personality, Others:
Maddie was surrendered to the shelter by her owner who due to his health reasons cannot take care of her.
Maddie has had a home since a puppy. It seems she was well treated, she was sterilised and vaccinated on regular intervals, which is more than most of the dogs brought to the shelter. But coming to the shelter can be a shock for a dog that had a home and for her it was. She was hiding in the corner of the kennel for day and twitching of fear whenever someone touched her. Only recently she started to open up, wag her tail, let us touch her and even play with other dogs. She understood noone is going to hurt her. But she is still not happy and she would be so much better in a home. Dogs that had a home, especially if they were treated well, will never be happy in the shelter.
Maddie walks well on the leash.
