Story, Personality, Others:
Tomas was brought to us from a municipal pound in August 2022… He was in a miserable state. He was leishmaniose positive but not treated so he was skin and bones and with serious fur loss all over his body – this is what often happens when dogs have leishmaniose. But if in municipal pounds they don´t even vaccinate dogs, how could we expect them to treat the sick ones.
Tomas was brought to the shelter and it took long time for him to become healthy but he is fine now. He did a month treatment with Milteforam and now gets daily Alopurinol. The fur has grown mostly back but he still has little scars, especially on his head, so maybe it won´t grow all. Anyway, he is beautiful as he is.
Tomas is extremely gentle but also quite shy and nervous. He is always worried someone will harm him, he is afraid of violent gestures, moving hands… then he just lies down. He must have been badly treated and it will take time to restore his faith in humans. He is very nice and submissive with other dogs. He would not harm a fly. Gentle and modest. So quiet, he never barked so far.
