Carlos was brought to us from a municipal pound. He is young but he is blind… poor dog. So sad. Possibly he was born like this. He is also wobbly on his back leg, so his problem might be neurological and sadly irreversible.
He is completely lost in the shelter. The shelter is big, he does not orientate himself well so if we let him loose he will walk and walk and get lost. He is not completely blind, he sees shadows as we see him going after the shadows but still his life in the shelter is very difficult. He does not eat or drink on his own, he does not know how to get the feeders, people have to serve him the bowls with food and water. But he already reacts in voices of people that he knows and he is very happy when he hears them. Poor doggie… Very difficult to give additional attention to a blind dog in an overcrowded shelter… What he needs is a home, even if it would be just a foster.
Apart from this Carlos is a very gentle dog. Extremely gentle. You can do anything to him. He is also friendly with other dogs.
