Story, Personality, Others:

Akimo was brought to us because his owner died. In fact the family surrendered two dogs. One small that they said was her pet who lived with her in the house and slept in her bed and this one had all vaccinations and was cared for and another one was Akimo. Akimo was bigger than the other so he lived all his life in a yard, on the chain, he was never vaccinated and he was hurt on his nose when he was brought. How a person can love one dog less than the other just because he is bigger?

Poor Akimo is very sweet and gentle and he deserves much better than the life he has. He is placid, friendly, lovely with people. He is also friendly with other dogs. His nose is hurt but it seems like him hurting it on the fence trying probably to get out from a small space where he was kept. We have tested him for leishmaniose and fortunately he is negative.

He walks well on the leash.
