Story, Personality, Others:
This is so sad. Tabasco was adopted from us as a puppy. He has always lived in a home with his owner, he remembers nothing else, just his home. He was loved and cherished. His owner took him everywhere. He went regularly to vet so his health could be monitored and he was vaccinated on regular basis (general vaccination, kennel cough, leishmaniose, you name it). He was taught to sit, wait, give paw, lie down – and he is so obedient and clever. He walks well on the leash.
But then… his owner became gravely ill and he cannot care for Tabasco anymore. Noone from his family wants to help. The dog was brought to the shelter. He does not understand. Noone cares about the dog, about his broken heart. Lovely, gentle, faithful dog who may spend the rest of his life living in a kennel because he is not fluffy, not small, not pretty, not pedigree – so slim chance of finding a home. People don´t care if the dog is gentle, they care if it is pretty or pedigree.
Poor Tabasco. He is very sweet. He settled sadly into his kennel, he made friends with the dogs there, he gives people kisses whenever they enter. But he deserves better.
