Story, Personality, Others:
Figo was found on the road, hit by a car. Not just hit, the car drove over him. He was more than than alive, his wounds are opened and a leg suffered an open fracture. Whoever did this, just left him – not possible they would not know they hit a dog. But when he was brought to the shelter it was obvious that several hours passed before someone had enough compassion to look at this little body.
We thought he would not survive. But he did. The leg had to be amputated, the wounds were sutures, several weeks of recovery at the vet but if you look at him now, it is amazing. He walks comfortably on three legs, he wags his tail, he is just a happy little dog.
Figo loves people and is extremely gentle. Very sweet and cuddly. When he came he did not like other dogs but now he is friendly with everyone, he plays a lot with other dogs.
In any case the shelter is not a good environment for a handicapped dog however well he is managing. So we are praying for a home offered to him soon.
