Story, Personality, Others:

Poor Benji was dumped in the shelter when his owners divorced and none of them wanted to keep him. One emigrated, the other stayed in Portugal, but none of them had place in their lives for a dog they have had for 9 years, since a puppy. Hopefully Karma will bring them what they deserve. As Benji did not deserve to be treated like this.

Benji is very sweet and gentle. Lovely with people – very gentle and friendly. Super friendly with other dogs! He is always looking for canine company. He walks well on the leash. But the most he likes to run – you would never give him his age, sometimes he is like a puppy.

He is used to living in a home. He lived in a city so he is not bothered by noises and traffic.

Some arthritis was noticed in his front left elbow, at his age those things can happen. This is why sometimes after an activity he limps. It is recommended that he takes supplements such as Cosequin or Flexadine and maybe also Librela. The Xrays are available to potential adoptants. No surgery was suggested by the vet, just supplements.
