Story, Personality, Others:
The life of Max is just a story of sad happenings. Such an unlucky dog. His first owner was one of those people that you ask yourself why he had a dog at all. He kept Max on the chain and never treated him kindly. Then he sold the house and moved to an apartment but of course he would not consider taking a dog with him so he dumped him in the shelter. And maybe that was the only good thing in Max´s life as he got out of this awful place where he was not treated well.
Then he was adopted by a guy who was all enthusiastic and said he loved dogs and Max enjoyed some kind treatment during a few months but then the guy got bankrupt and went back to his country. He brought Max back to the shelter and not only, he also brought other 3 dogs he had.
After a few months someone else wanted to adopt him. A guy with a big farm and one dog. All seemed fine, only that he brought Max back quite soon saying that Max jumped fenced, went to the neighbouring farm and neighbours were complaining. It surprised us as Max was never a jumper but we believed. Only that the guy got another dog and then also brought him to the shelter because he jumped fences… too much of a coincidence so obviously his farm is not well fenced. And maybe instead of getting yet another dog to try he should fence it.
And in the meantime Max… does not deserve any of those. He is a victim of stupid, negligent, irresponsible people, the kind of that the dog is disposable. Max is gentle, affectionate, loving. He loves human contact, cuddles, attention. He really deserves better. A home where he would be, for once, treated with respect and considered family member.
He is social with other dogs. He walks well on the leash.
