Story, Personality, Others:

Inkie ended up in the shelter as his owner is very ill and unable to take care of him. The daughter brought the mother´s dog to the shelter, she does not have a place for him in her life.

We have no doubt that he was loved but it was long time ago… By the time we got him he was very neglected. He was not vaccinated, not castrated and he could hardly eat as his teeth ached. By now we have taken care of him. He was bathed, cleaned, castrated and the teeth were cleaned. The bad teeth were pulled out and he seems immediately a happier dog.

Inkie is a social dog, he likes to follow us around the shelter and he seems comfortable with other dogs, he is good on the leash, he does not pull at all, he is comfortable in the car and used to living in a home, also houseclean.

However, he was adopted twice and returned as he bit his adoptants – he does not like to be contradicted so if you do something he does not like, he snaps. He can be very sweet until he does not like something. He is also quite jealous of attention and he wants his owners all to himself. And he is quite possessive about food, especially about the food people are eating, he must have been fed scraps from the table (which explains the state of his teeth). So he is really not a dog for everyone… but we still hope somewhere there is a right home for him.
