Story, Personality, Others:

A guy had a dog, Cuca. He did not have her sterilised and she got pregnant, she had two puppies. The guy was optimistic. It was fine, he kept the puppies. He did not understand why we insisted dogs should be sterilised. What was the problem? He had a farm and he would keep the dogs.

When the puppies grew, he ended up with 3 adult non-sterilised females. They started to fight. So he brought Cuca, the mother to the shelter and kept the two daughters. We rehomed Cuca (and sterilised her before).

His commitment to his two puppies lasted a whole year. Somehow he did not realise that having a dog should be for life. He decided to go back to his country, he was not local. So he sold the farm, he gave Misha to the first person that appeared and the other sister (Syrah) he brought to the shelter. Ten days later the woman that had Misha brought her to the shelter because Misha “was sad”. What did she expect? Moved to a new environment, separated from her human and canine company, this should be pretty normal, no? Anyway….. the idiot brought her to the shelter.

In the meantime we rehomed Syrah, the sister. But Misha came to the shelter and is still there. Lovely Misha is used to living in a home and she is very confused about being in the shelter. She is very sweet and extremely gentle – as gentle as she is big! Lovely with people. Social with other dogs. Tolerant with cats. She is used to living in a home. She walks well on the leash. She deserves better!
