Story, Personality, Others:
Long story… We first got Lucky to the shelter in 2017. Her owner went abroad to work and left Lucky with his wife and as soon as he was gone she brought her to the shelter saying Lucky was too strong for her to walk (in any case she was a big woman). The guy stayed abroad for a few months but it did not work out abroad as he hoped so he came back. Lucky was still in the shelter and he came to get her. Lucky went back home… Unfortunately a few years later the man died. It was quite a shock as he was still quite young… but he was not even properly cold when his wife brought Lucky to the shelter.
(She actually took advantage of the situation and also dumped in the shelter the dog that was hers, a small dogs who was registered on her).
Lucky must have been quite neglected at home at least the last few months. She has not been brushed and she is overweight, she has not been walked much if at all.
In any case Lucky deserves better… She is a lovely and friendly dog, very gentle and social. She is affectionate with people, she likes attention and she is used to other dogs. She walks well on the leash and she sits on command. She lived with another dog. She is used to living in a home (she lived in an apartment in the city).
Her name is a joke, she has not been lucky at all, but hopefully this will change now and she really deserves a lovely home.
