Canela was surrendered to the shelter by her owner who moved from a house to an apartment and did not take her dog with. She has had Canela nearly all her life. She found her on the street when Canela was a puppy and she thought that was a good excuse to get rid of the dog after many years at home saying she was never hers, she was already abandoned. Things people say when they bring dogs… whatever they can think about to feel better about the awful thing they are doing.
Canela is very sweet and gentle. She is a quiet and calm dog. She is very gentle towards people and other dogs. She walks well on the leash. Poor Canela is confused about all this, uprooted from the place she felt safe. Whenever she can, she runs to the gate of the shelter to see if she can go back home.
Canela is positive to leishmaniose and takes daily medication. He is in good health.
