Story, Personality, Others:
Farrusco lived on the street for at least 9 years. This is what some people that were feeding him on the street remember. For 9 years… It is unbelievable that there can be dogs that live on the street for years and noone around has a heart kind enough to take the poor dog home.
They call them “community dogs”. By that they mean a dog that anyone can kick but noone will take to the vet when the dog is sick, noone will pay vaccinations and noone will bother where he is when it rains. Normally they don´t live long. They are noone´s dogs so they noone cares and they die quickly, sick, starved, hit by a car. This one lived long. For 9 years noone cared enough to give him home.
Even the woman that brought him, who was one of those that was giving him scraps on the street enquired about adopting a puppy while leaving him.
He was brought because there were more and more people protesting against his presence on the street. He was old, he did not bother anyone, he was spending his days just laying somewhere but still there were more and more dog haters that threatened to kill him.
Farrusco is extremely gentle. Sweet, calm, friendly. Lovely with people and with other dogs. How not to like him? It is unbelievable that he was on the street for 9 years and noone found a little love in their hearts for him.
He is now in the shelter and behaves splendidly. But what he would need is to have a real home. To experience love just thos few last years of his life.
