Piloto had a home since a puppy. After a few years his owner did not want him anymore and gave him to another person. After one year this person also did not want him anymore (they always have an excuse relating to the change of circumstances where the dog does not fit in anymore). So the second person surrendered him to the shelter.
People don´t respect dogs, they don´t consider them family members, the society accepts that dogs are discardable and this is how these people were brought up. They don´t see anything wrong in dumping an 8 year old dog in the shelter. This is just a dog and this is what shelters are for, right? He will be fine, right? Maybe. But he would be better in a home.
Piloto is a lovely and very gentle dog. He is sweet with people and gets very attached but in the shelter he is quite shy and unhappy. This is the environment he is not used…. He is VERY gentle though. He is also good with other dogs. He walks well on the leash. He is used to living in a home. He deserves better.
