Little Kiko was surrendered by his owner. She said that the dog was very attached to her but did not like her husband and son and the situation at home was difficult.
She also said that he did not like to get groomed, this is why he always looked messy.
What we see is a nervous but affectionate dog. His first day in the shelter was very difficult for him, he was just trembling like a leaf. After a few days he gained confidence but is still quite nervous. On the other hand we find him very loving, he enjoys attention, he asks for cuddling, he likes human contact.
He is submissive with other dogs, also quite nervous but simply scared, no conflicts.
He is used to living in a home (and being an only dog). He needs another chance… Someone who will be patient with him and will understand his fears.
