Story:
Cameron was adopted as a little puppy from us. When he was around 1 year old his owner started to complained that he pulled on the leash and barked when meeting other dogs and his kids could not walk him. We suggested some obedience classes, after all the dogs might not know how they should behave if the owners are unable to communicate. We even suggested a trainer. But a week later the owners decided to give back the dog, without even trying the classes.
So once they actually had to make some effort to integrate the dog better into the family, they chose the easiest solution – dumping him.
Cameron is friendly, gentle and social. Naturally in the shelter the interaction between the dogs is different than on the street in a city and also the walks on the leash in the shelter are rare but whatever the problem was we believe it could have been easily solved with training and some good will on the part of the ex-owners. Because he is a nice and gentle dog!
