Story, Personality, Others:
Rosie had a home since a puppy. She and her sister. Then the family went to the US. They took the dogs with them. But they did not stay. They came back. With the dogs. And after coming back they gave Rosie to the shelter.
Why…? Noone knows….

The first day in the shelter for Rosie was a shock. She entered and she snapped around and she tried to bite everything and everyone. She was scared.
After a few days she was let out of her kennel to interact with our dogs. She was fine. She is ok with other dogs. It was just the stress of the first day.
But with people… She is a dog that suffered much. It is heart-breaking because she is so young. She wants to trust, she wags her tail, she lies belly up, she licks faces, she loves children. But if anything that threatens her happens, she snaps. We are trying to define what are the threatening situations for her but there can be many. So far we noticed that she will snap at a hand coming on her from above. Even if our intention is to pet her or to put a leash on, she does not know that. Was she beaten before?
She does not want to harm. She snaps but she does not close her mouth. She has not bitten anyone. But also her snapping comes very quickly, she does not growl before. Concluding, she is not a dog for everyone. But for someone with experience and also someone calm and gentle. We will try to work with her to eliminate her fears, hopefully she is so young that she can still overcome them but she is already a dog with a burden….
